Two teachers with doctorate degrees presided over the school and taught these mother-teachers to make lesson plans, prepare bulletin boards, teach multiple classes, and follow the A-Beka Curriculum. Barb taught the A-Beka Curriculum to the combined 4th - 8th grades for 11 years and all grades in the Alpha Omega Program for two years. The Christian Schools in Kentucky fought for the freedom to have their schools, and Barb and her husband, Clarence, were plaintiffs; winning the right at both the State and the Federal levels.

Margie Howard

First & Second Grade Teacher

"When choosing a school for our children's education, FBCS was our first and only choice. The doctrinal statement and educational standards at FBCS matched perfectly our backgrounds and beliefs. When looking for a teaching position, I looked again to FBCS. Being able to share Christ, the truths of God's Word, and a Biblical point of view throughout the curriculum was invaluable to me. A good education is necessary, but without the Truth it is meaningless. At FBCS, I love my students and I am privileged to tell them about Christ who loves them even more. I thank God for FBCS! Proverbs 2:5-6"

Margie Howard has been teaching at FBCS since 1997. She received a Bachelor's of Religious Education through Baptist Bible College of Pennsylvania and Ohio State certification through Ashland University. Mrs. Howard and her husband have been married since 1981 and have two daughters, both of whom graduated from FBCS.

Jennifer Kime

"I love teaching at FBCS because I can let my passion for Jesus Christ overflow into every subject that I teach my students. Since all knowledge comes from God, the students need to learn to filter everything through His Word. This is exciting to see!"

She has had previous teaching experiences in Christian and public schools in North Carolina and Ohio. She and her husband, Russell, have three children, Brandon, Devin, and Katelyn, two of whom attend FBCS. They are active members of First Baptist Church of LaGrange and reside in LaGrange.
