The purpose of the First Baptist Christian School Parent Teacher
Fellowship is to provide a framework in which both parents and
teachers, through a mutual understanding of the special nuances
involved in Christian education and of the needs of the child may
work together for his best interest in developing spiritual,
intellectual, physical, and emotional maturity according to
Biblical principles.
The PTF objectives are: to acquaint the parents with the
philosophy of Christian education and the curriculum of First
Baptist Christian School; to acquaint both parents and teachers
with the importance of recognizing and adequately coping with the
emotional, spiritual and disciplinary needs of the child; and to
provide an opportunity for parents and teachers to know and
fellowship with each other.
Activities include, but are not limited to: pancake breakfasts,
Christmas Shoppe, and the FBCS Carnival.
Membership in the PTF of First Baptist Christian School consists
of the parents of the students, teachers, and interested friends.
Meetings of the Parent Teacher Fellowship are held at planned
intervals throughout the year. At least one parent for each school
family is expected to attend all meetings.
