What's New at Our School

Ways to Support First Baptist Christian School!

We want to thank all of you for your continued support with our fundraising. Please continue sending in your ideas! Here are a few ways in which you can help the school raise money!

Paper Recycling--Abitibi Paper Retrievers are located in the south parking lot by the Spirit Rock.  The following items can be placed in the containers:  Newspapers, Magazines, Shopping Catalogs, Junk mail, Office and School papers, white envelopes with and without windows.  Please, NO....cardboard, cereal/soda cartons, food wrap/containers, tissue products, phone books, plastic, or glass. Support FBCS and Make Every Page Count!

Gideon's Band--Sign up to donate $120 ($10 a month) to the school. Contact Wendy Johnson for more information.

Goodsearch--It is a new and easy way to support our school while you surf the web. Just log on to www.goodsearch.com and type First Baptist Christian School in the "I Support" box.

Giant Eagle Apples for Students--This year's program started on October 28. Just register your Advantage card by calling 1-800-474-4777. You can also go online at www.gianteagle.com and use our school's ID #4953. Every swipe of your card earns the school rewards!

Staples Recycling for Education--We can now accept any size printer cartridges and printer toners. Go to Staples.com for a list of acceptable cartridges and toners. So, bring large or small ones, and phones too! Take a collection bin to work or ask your bank.

Target Take Charge of Education--With the shopping season here, register FBCS with your Target card and/or your Target Visa card. They will mail us a check!

Nestle Water Labels--Collect labels off the water bottles to earn sports gear and field trips. Check out www.goplaylables.com.

Campbell Soup/Box Top--Bring in your Cambpell soup UPC and box tops to the school and place them in the bin in front of the school office. Only the lids and UPC labels are necessary - this is a change from years past.

Ecophones Has Arrived at FBCS!

The Ecophones project is very simple and asks very little of anyone. If you have any type of cell phone laying around your house or you have access to empty ink jet printer cartridges, all we are asking is that you donate those to our school and spread the word to family and friends that our school is collecting these items!

There are a few things to remember:
1. Every type of cell phone can be donated.
2. ONLY INK JET PRINTER CATRIDGES are acceptable. These are smaller cartridges that fit in the palm of your hand.
3. NO toner or laser cartridges, please!
4. Ink jet cartridges CANNOT be refilled, reconditioned, or damaged.
5. Ecophones WILL NOT ACCEPT cell phone accessories such as cases, charges, etc. Please, do not put these in the collection bins.

There is a GREY collection bin in the school lobby. Please feel free to drop off your cell phones and cartridges in this bin at anytime.

We want to spread the word, so please tell your family and friends. If your church or business would be willing to place a bin in their facility, we will gladly provide a collection bin and information. Please call the school office, if we can assist in this way. We are allowed to ask cell phone businesses if they would allow us to have a collection bin at their location! If you do business with a certain location, please ask if they would consider helping us!

This will be an ongoing project so as you change from one phone to another or have empty ink jet printer cartridges, please remember to donate them to FBCS!

Thank you for your support. If you should have any questions, please, feel free to call the school office!
